Youth Empowerment Foundation launches fourth edition of "Youth Film Empowerment Competition"
During a launch ceremony held on September 14, 2023 in the Beirut Digital Region - Lebanon, Ja 'adan al-Shabaab announced the fourth edition of the "Youth Empowerment Competition for Films and Songs."
The idea was launched in 2017 by Soraya Ismail - a board member and executive director of Youth Empowerment Company, actor Gayes Sheikh Najib, and actress Nelly Karim - members of the Friends of Youth Empowerment Committee; Because of the imminent need to support young Arab artists to unleash their talents and express their views. The idea soon evolved into a landmark regional initiative and pioneering platform aimed at encouraging young talent to explore their artistic potential and create meaningful short films and songs; as well as providing safe space for them to express their aspirations and views on pressing social and humanitarian issues.
